About the Role
Parachute is a Y Combinator S25 startup building an agentic trading platform. As a Founding Engineer, you’ll partner closely with the founders to deliver production-ready agent systems, backend infrastructure, and quantitative trading workflows—from strategy backtesting to real-world execution.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship new product features, MVPs, and scalable solutions that create direct customer value
- Build and improve backend services with a strong focus on reliability and scalability across AWS, databases, and containerized infrastructure
- Develop agentic AI/ML systems that support financial research and automated trading workflows
- Create and optimize financial data pipelines for research and trading, working with large, high-quality datasets
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (including ECS)
- Strong backend and full-stack development skills
- Experience building data pipelines and working with large datasets
- Interest in agentic systems and quantitative trading/backtesting
