About the Role
Kiloforge is building a “company factory” powered by AI agents that can autonomously create and run thousands of specialized software products. As a Founding Engineer, you’ll help shape the core systems behind this new approach to software creation for niche communities.
You’ll join a small team and work closely with the Founder/CEO as Kiloforge scales from early stage into production at speed.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and iterate on the core platform for AI-agent-driven software creation
- Develop reliable infrastructure and tooling that supports autonomous product generation and operation
- Collaborate on architecture, testing strategy, and operational practices for production systems
- Identify bottlenecks and improve performance, quality, and developer experience
- Contribute to technical decisions across the stack as the company grows
Requirements
- Strong experience building production software (startup or high-growth environments preferred)
- Comfort working across backend systems, APIs, and data flows
- Experience with AI/automation systems or agentic workflows is a plus
- Ability to operate with ambiguity and move quickly while maintaining engineering quality
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Benefits
- $180K–$225K base salary
- 1.0%–1.5% equity
- Visa sponsorship available (visa transfers) and relocation support
- On-site role in San Francisco (SoMa), 5 days/week
