About the Role
WLUK/WCWF is seeking a creative Good Day Wisconsin Producer to lead the day-to-day production of our morning newscasts. You’ll partner closely with the Executive Producer, Directors, Content Manager, and anchors to shape show content and deliver accurate, engaging segments for both broadcast and digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Determine the content and pacing of daily newscasts
- Coordinate with management and on-air talent to generate, write, and refine story ideas
- Develop content for the web alongside newscast production needs
- Execute daily news strategies and goals to support each show
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom
Requirements
- Strong news judgment and the ability to make timely editorial decisions
- Compelling, accurate writing skills
- Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Comfort working in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Flexibility and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities
