About the Role
Mews is building technology that helps hospitality teams run smarter and deliver standout guest experiences. As a Principal Designer, you’ll help shape the design direction for our products and collaborate with a team of curious, high-performing professionals.
This role emphasizes autonomy, thoughtful decision-making, and the ability to move quickly while maintaining consistent quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design efforts across complex product areas, from discovery through delivery
- Set and uphold design standards, patterns, and quality across the organization
- Partner with product, engineering, and stakeholders to turn customer needs into clear experiences
- Mentor designers and help raise the bar on usability, interaction quality, and accessibility
- Drive continuous improvement through research, feedback, and iterative refinement
Requirements
- Strong experience designing digital products with a portfolio that demonstrates impact
- Expertise in interaction design, UX principles, and user-centered design practices
- Ability to lead ambiguous problems and align teams around a clear design rationale
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering to deliver production-ready solutions
- Strong communication skills and a track record of influencing outcomes
