Hardware Test Engineer (Droid) - Ground Systems | Full-Time | Hybrid

About the Role

Zipline is building the world’s most reliable autonomous logistics system, and we’re looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to support Droid ground systems. You’ll help ensure our hardware performs safely and consistently in real-world operations that deliver critical supplies around the world.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans for ground system hardware
• Build and maintain test setups, fixtures, and validation procedures
• Analyze test results and troubleshoot hardware or system issues
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability, quality, and manufacturability
• Document test methods, outcomes, and engineering recommendations

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with hardware testing, validation, or electronics test engineering
• Strong troubleshooting skills across embedded or electromechanical systems
• Experience creating repeatable test procedures and interpreting results
• Familiarity with data collection, measurement practices, and basic instrumentation concepts
• Clear communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
