About the Role
Ford’s Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team is building the future of fully electric transportation. As a Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Test Automation Engineer, you’ll help create reliable, data-driven test automation that supports product development and system integration for EV platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, select, and develop HIL test automation solutions for test generation, definition, execution, and reporting
- Maintain and adapt automation frameworks as system requirements evolve
- Support configuration management and ensure test environments are consistent and traceable
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and manage testing activities across projects
- Deliver clear reporting and insights to improve test coverage and development decisions
Requirements
- Experience building and maintaining test automation for Hardware in the Loop (HIL) systems
- Strong understanding of test execution workflows, reporting, and automation best practices
- Ability to manage configurations and keep test setups reliable and reproducible
- Comfort working in an agile, collaborative environment
