About the Role
SMX is seeking an Information Security Analyst to support a 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC). In this Tier II/Tier III role, you’ll help monitor enterprise security activity, respond to incidents, and strengthen endpoint and vulnerability security across the environment.
Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor enterprise security events and alerts
- Investigate and analyze potential security incidents
- Perform threat analysis to support detection and response activities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and related remediation support
- Assist with RMF documentation and security control activities
- Maintain and support endpoint security monitoring tools
- Review systems for cybersecurity compliance and alignment
- Support change management efforts that impact security posture
- Coordinate with system administrators to address security findings
- Document incident activity, findings, and outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to operate effectively in a 24x7 SOC environment
