Junior Hardware Engineer (Assembly Tech) | Hybrid Work Mode

About the Role

Laminar is building physical AI solutions that help process and manufacturing teams improve efficiency and sustainability. Working from Greentown Labs in Somerville, you’ll support the hands-on assembly and integration of hardware components used in our sensor-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly, integration, and basic test of hardware components and sensor assemblies
• Follow build instructions and quality checks to ensure reliable device performance
• Document assembly steps, results, and any issues encountered during testing
• Support troubleshooting and iterative improvements based on test feedback
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to keep builds on schedule

Requirements

• Interest in hardware engineering and electronics assembly
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with small components
• Basic understanding of electronic components and test/verification principles
• Ability to learn quickly, follow procedures, and keep clear documentation
