About the Role
We’re seeking a Lead Building Engineer to oversee HVAC performance and other mechanical systems in our facility. Working closely with the Chief Engineer, you’ll help ensure reliable operation, proper control parameters, and efficient building performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor operating conditions and control settings for HVAC and mechanical equipment.
- Support energy-efficient building operations by tracking and improving electrical, water, and gas consumption.
- Supervise and coordinate external contractors, including chiller maintenance, emergency generator services, and water treatment.
- Participate in and oversee routine repairs and emergency maintenance for HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Respond to unscheduled maintenance requests, including plumbing issues, minor equipment malfunctions, and hot/cold call troubleshooting.
- Assist with electrical and lighting repairs and minor building maintenance tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Experience working with HVAC systems and building mechanical equipment.
- Ability to supervise maintenance activities and coordinate with contractors.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and building systems.
- Comfort handling routine repairs and responding to maintenance emergencies.
