We’re seeking a Lead Data Scientist to own demand forecasting efforts and turn data into forecasts that help guide planning, inventory, and growth decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and improvement of demand forecasting models across relevant time horizons
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical approaches and measurable outcomes
- Build reliable data pipelines and ensure forecasting datasets are accurate, complete, and well-governed
- Evaluate model performance, monitor drift, and implement enhancements to maintain forecast quality
- Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making
Requirements
- Advanced experience in time-series forecasting and statistical or machine learning methods
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python) and experience working with data pipelines
- Proficiency with SQL and working knowledge of modern data platforms
- Experience designing experiments, validating models, and using appropriate metrics
- Ability to lead projects end-to-end and collaborate effectively with non-technical partners
