About the Role
The Louisiana Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General Liz Murrill, is hiring a Legal Secretary to support legal operations across the state. This statewide role may be based in different parishes depending on assignment.
Salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. This is a continuous announcement, and applications will be reviewed as they are received.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to attorneys and staff within the Civil Division
- Assist with document preparation, filing, and general case support tasks
- Help maintain organized records and support day-to-day office workflow
- Coordinate information and materials needed for legal processes
Requirements
- Ability to support a legal team with strong administrative skills
- Successful completion of a background check, drug testing, and reference verification
- Availability for assignment to various parishes throughout Louisiana
