About the Role
We’re seeking a Load Planner to coordinate freight movement and customer service for our logistics operations. You’ll process customer orders, build and optimize shipment loads, and work with third-party carriers to ensure timely delivery and accurate shipment visibility.
This role is based in Beachwood, OH with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM. The work model is 4 days onsite and Friday remote.
Responsibilities
- Build loads by adding shipments, rating loads, and securing carrier coverage
- Optimize shipment planning using a Transportation Manager System
- Tender freight to third-party carriers and monitor acceptance/status
- Update the Transportation Manager System with current shipment information
- Track shipments and provide visibility to management and customers
- Research, audit, and troubleshoot operational issues to improve execution
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner
Requirements
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation planning (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Comfort working with transportation management tools or order/shipment systems
- Good communication skills for coordinating with carriers and customers
- Ability to analyze shipment data and resolve discrepancies
