About the Role
Join the Industrial Support Department within NAVSUP FLC SD GF’s Waterfront Operations (WFO) Division as a Logistics Management Specialist. You’ll support shipboard configuration and material readiness by conducting research, analyzing requirements, and coordinating corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze shipboard configuration to identify gaps and determine appropriate corrective actions
- Identify the materials and equipment needed for shipboard repair and/or replacement
- Participate in meetings and conferences related to configuration and material support
- Develop Purchase Orders (POs) based on NSN or Part Number requirements, using vendor and OEM quotes for approval by the ship project manager
- Track orders and monitor status, including errors, cancellations, and back-order conditions, and take steps to mitigate impacts
Requirements
- Experience supporting logistics planning, configuration analysis, or supply chain processes
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into procurement documentation (e.g., NSN/part number-based POs)
- Strong attention to detail for tracking, expediting, and resolving order status issues
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal stakeholders, vendors, and OEMs
