About the Role
We’re looking for a Mechanical Aerospace Engineer to support aircraft modification, repair, integration, and certification efforts in Newport News, VA. In this onsite contract role, you’ll help design and integrate structural and mechanical systems while meeting applicable airworthiness and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support aircraft modification and repair work by developing practical, reliable engineering solutions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, production personnel, and certification specialists
- Assist with mechanical design tasks and engineering documentation for integration activities
- Contribute to 3D modeling and related design workflows as needed for program execution
- Ensure work aligns with industry standards and airworthiness expectations
Requirements
- Mechanical engineering experience with aerospace or aircraft-related work
- Familiarity with aircraft modification, repair, and/or certification processes
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and certification stakeholders
- Experience with 3D modeling or mechanical design tools (as applicable to the role)
Compensation & Schedule
- Onsite contract position in Newport News, VA
- Starting pay: $35.00/hour (higher compensation may be available based on experience)
