About the Role
Join our outpatient mental health team as a Registered Nurse (RN) providing knowledge-based, age-appropriate care. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while supporting education, self-management, and an excellent patient experience across the care continuum.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans based on age-specific needs
- Coordinate care with a focus on patient education and self-management
- Administer medications and perform procedures in accordance with established policies and clinical guidelines
- Evaluate outcomes and adjust care plans to support improved patient results
- Collaborate with the care team to enhance coordination and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Current RN licensure
- Experience or training in mental health nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and care planning skills
- Ability to follow policies and guidelines for medication administration and procedures
Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)
This position may be eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement benefit. Eligibility and award terms (up to $200,000) are determined after review of your EDRP application, which must be submitted within four months of appointment according to VHA policy.
