About the Role
KFDM is seeking a creative News Producer to manage the day-to-day production of newscasts. You’ll partner closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk, and anchors to shape each broadcast and develop content for our website.
Responsibilities
- Determine newscast content and overall rundown flow
- Collaborate with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories
- Produce timely, engaging segments for daily newscasts
- Develop supporting content for the station website
- Adapt quickly to breaking news and shifting priorities
Requirements
- Strong news judgment
- Proven ability to write clearly, accurately, and compellingly
- Excellent multitasking and time-management skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to execute news strategy and daily goals
- Flexibility and on-the-spot problem-solving skills
