About the Role
Scout Motors is seeking a Senior Specialist to support OBD traceability efforts for our next-generation vehicles. In this role, you’ll help ensure regulatory and technical traceability across systems tied to emissions and onboard diagnostics, working closely with engineering partners to maintain accuracy from requirements through verification.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain OBD traceability from requirements to design, implementation, and verification evidence
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to align diagnostic strategy, documentation, and test results
- Review and validate traceability artifacts to support compliance, audits, and technical reviews
- Identify gaps in traceability and drive corrective actions to improve coverage and consistency
- Support root-cause investigations by linking defects, test outcomes, and system requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience with OBD, emissions-related documentation, or diagnostic traceability in automotive programs
- Strong understanding of requirements management and verification/validation practices
- Experience working with engineering documentation, test evidence, and configuration/version control
- Excellent analytical and communication skills to partner effectively across teams
