About the Role
UrgentVet provides after-hours urgent care for dogs and cats, bridging the gap between daytime general practice and emergency medicine. We’re looking for a part-time Veterinary Assistant to support a fast-paced, state-of-the-art clinic while delivering compassionate care to patients and excellent service to clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinary staff with patient intake, rooming, and basic support tasks
- Help manage common urgent care cases such as wound care, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and more
- Provide friendly, professional support to clients during stressful moments
- Support clinic operations in a paperless environment using cloud-based EMR
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized hospital workflow
Requirements
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant (or related animal care experience)
- Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to assist with patient handling and follow medical protocols
- Commitment to teamwork and compassionate animal care
