About the Role
Databricks is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to be the statistical voice of our Data Science organization. In this role, you’ll help make Databricks smarter and more data-driven by translating advanced analytics into clear, executive-ready narratives for our CEO, C-suite, and Board.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior statistical and analytical advisor across company-level decision-making
- Translate complex modeling and measurement work into actionable insights for leadership
- Communicate results with clarity, rigor, and strong storytelling tailored to executive audiences
- Collaborate across teams to ensure data science outputs are used effectively at scale
Requirements
- Strong expertise in statistics and advanced data science methods
- Proven ability to communicate analytical findings to non-technical and executive stakeholders
- Experience delivering high-impact insights that influence strategy and business decisions
- Track record of independent, principal-level execution (pure IC; no direct reports)
