About the Role
RTX is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support mission-critical software development on an onsite team. This role requires an active, transferable U.S. government security clearance and is intended for U.S. citizens who are eligible to obtain and maintain clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve complex software systems for defense and aerospace applications
- Lead technical execution across architecture, implementation, and integration activities
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable capabilities
- Contribute to secure software practices and adherence to program requirements
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance without polygraph, required on day 1
- U.S. citizenship required to be eligible for security clearance
- Experience working on large-scale, high-reliability software systems
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to lead technical solutions
