About the Role
Join our AI2 Robotics team as a Research Scientist working from our Seattle office. You’ll tackle foundational research challenges in robotics using foundation models, and help advance open methods, datasets, benchmarks, and models. The role blends large-scale simulation with real-world robot experimentation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and investigate core research problems for robotics using foundation models
- Create and improve open research resources, including methods, datasets, benchmarks, and models
- Run experiments using large-scale simulation environments
- Test and validate approaches on physical robots in real-world settings
- Contribute to multiple research projects and support additional team initiatives as needed
Requirements
- Strong background in robotics research and experimentation
- Experience working with simulation tools and real-world robotic systems
- Proven ability to conduct research and translate results into reproducible outputs
- Comfort collaborating across projects within a research-focused team
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $167,030–$260,570
- Generous bonus plans to support a competitive total compensation package
