Senior Accountant - Hybrid (Portland, OR)

About the Role

Panthalassa is seeking a Senior Accountant to help strengthen our internal finance and accounting function as we scale from research and development into manufacturing and deployment. This role supports the growth of our public benefit company and contributes to reliable, well-controlled financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain core accounting processes, supporting accurate month-end and year-end close
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as the company scales
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information
• Assist with process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting efficiency

Requirements

• Experience in accounting with demonstrated ownership of close and reconciliation activities
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Clear communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders
