Senior Accountant (US GAAP) | Hybrid Role in Arlington, VA

About the Role

Stand Together is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to own some of the organization’s most complex accounting areas. You’ll ensure accurate technical accounting treatment across key topics and help strengthen our financial reporting under US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting for complex transactions, including leases, equity, and other investments
• Oversee revenue recognition and ensure proper accounting treatment for related agreements
• Evaluate and document accounting conclusions for complex contracts and arrangements
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information, resolve accounting questions, and support month-end and close activities
• Apply strong analytical skills to review entries, variances, and supporting documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience with US GAAP and technical accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
• Experience supporting complex accounting topics such as leases and investments
• Ability to proactively identify issues, drive resolution, and communicate clearly
