About the Role
Dallas County is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to help protect enterprise information systems and data. In this role, you’ll combine threat detection, incident response, compliance monitoring, and security policy implementation to support a hybrid environment while meeting key regulatory and framework requirements, including CJIS, HIPAA, and NIST 800-53.
Responsibilities
- Investigate escalated security tickets, alerts, and events using advanced triage techniques
- Coordinate with technical teams to support containment and resolution during incidents
- Document incident response actions and maintain accurate security records
- Support day-to-day operations of security infrastructure, including SIEM and endpoint detection and response tooling
- Perform alert tuning, rule validation, and ensure reliable telemetry ingestion into security platforms
- Work with IT Security Engineering and Compliance teams to defend the infrastructure against evolving threats
Requirements
- Strong experience in security operations, incident response, and threat detection
- Knowledge of compliance expectations aligned to CJIS, HIPAA, and NIST 800-53
- Experience working with SIEM and endpoint detection and response (EDR) environments
- Ability to validate detection rules and improve alert fidelity through tuning
- Proven ability to coordinate across technical teams during security investigations
