About the Role
GitLab is seeking a Senior People Business Partner to support our Product & Marketing organizations. In this role, you’ll partner closely with leaders to strengthen people strategy, enable high performance, and help teams grow with clarity and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Advise leaders on talent planning, org design, and workforce strategy aligned to business goals
- Coach managers on performance management, career development, and team effectiveness
- Support hiring and onboarding plans to ensure scalable, inclusive growth
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive employee engagement, learning, and organizational change
- Identify people-related trends and recommend actionable solutions using data and stakeholder input
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the supported teams
Requirements
- Proven experience as a People Business Partner or HR partner supporting product, marketing, or similarly fast-moving teams
- Strong understanding of talent strategy, performance, and employee relations practices
- Excellent coaching and stakeholder management skills across all levels
- Comfort operating in a global, remote environment and influencing without direct authority
- Ability to use people analytics and qualitative insights to drive decisions
