About the Role
Apex is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater projects that directly support healthy communities and environmental protection. You’ll take ownership of project delivery, guide cross-functional teams, and help ensure clients receive high-quality outcomes from planning through closeout.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project execution for water/wastewater initiatives, including schedule, budget, and overall delivery
- Lead project teams and coordinate with internal stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors
- Drive risk management, change control, and timely issue resolution to keep projects on track
- Maintain strong client relationships and support retention through proactive communication
- Ensure work meets applicable standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Experience managing engineering or construction projects in water and/or wastewater
- Strong leadership and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in project planning, cost/schedule tracking, and contract deliverables
- Excellent communication skills with a client-focused mindset
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and industry standards for water/wastewater projects
