About the Role
Hometap is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of our fintech platform. You’ll work with a collaborative team to deliver a product that helps homeowners access the equity they’ve built—without taking on additional debt.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and execute test plans for web and backend services
- Develop and maintain automated test suites to improve coverage and speed
- Identify defects, reproduce issues, and collaborate with engineering to drive fixes
- Partner with product and engineering teams to define quality standards and acceptance criteria
- Continuously improve testing processes, tooling, and overall QA practices
Requirements
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer with strong testing fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD workflows
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience testing APIs and integrating with modern development pipelines
- Clear communication and the ability to collaborate across teams
