About the Role
August Bio is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead analytical research and development efforts that support pharmaceutical drug development. In this role, you will design and run laboratory experiments, analyze results, and help advance new drug formulations—while ensuring work is completed in line with regulatory expectations and internal quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Independently design and execute laboratory studies to support drug development, including formulation optimization, stability work, and bioanalytical assay activities
- Evaluate and interpret experimental data, then produce clear, decision-ready reports
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as clinical, regulatory, and manufacturing to keep projects moving smoothly
- Develop, improve, and validate analytical methods to enable quality control testing of pharmaceutical products
Requirements
- Experience in analytical method development and validation for pharmaceutical quality control
- Strong laboratory and experimental design skills
- Proven ability to analyze data and communicate findings through well-structured reports
- Knowledge of regulatory and quality expectations relevant to pharmaceutical development
