About the Role
Brex is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer to help strengthen our security monitoring and incident response capabilities. You’ll work with a talented team to protect our platform and customers while improving how we detect, investigate, and remediate security threats.
Responsibilities
- Operate and improve security monitoring workflows across relevant systems and tooling
- Investigate security alerts and incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions
- Enhance detection logic and response playbooks to reduce time to detect and time to respond
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to improve logging, telemetry, and overall visibility
- Document findings, communicate risk clearly, and support continuous program improvements
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, or SOC environments
- Strong understanding of common security threats, detection engineering concepts, and investigation techniques
- Experience working with security tooling and log/telemetry data (SIEM, EDR, or similar)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and translate technical findings into actionable recommendations
