About the Role
Procare Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and operate Procare Pay, our payments processing platform that supports credit card and ACH transactions for childcare businesses nationwide. In this role, you’ll design reliable services, improve system performance, and help ensure our platform runs smoothly for customers who support children and families.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services for Procare Pay
- Ship production-ready features with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Monitor and troubleshoot services, contributing to continuous improvements
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience building and supporting backend software systems
- Strong understanding of APIs, data modeling, and service integrations
- Experience with payments-related concepts is a plus (e.g., transaction flows, reconciliation, or security considerations)
- Comfort working in a team environment with quality, testing, and operational readiness in mind
