About the Role
UrgentVet provides after-hours urgent care for dogs and cats, helping bridge the gap between daytime general practice and emergency medicine. We’re looking for a full-time Senior Veterinary Assistant to support a fast-paced, modern urgent care team while delivering compassionate patient care and excellent client service.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinary staff with patient care in a high-volume urgent care setting
- Support clinic workflow to help ensure efficient, timely treatment
- Provide team leadership and help train or guide others as needed
- Support common urgent cases such as wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and comfort/euthanasia care
- Work with a paperless environment using cloud-based EMR and digital imaging
Requirements
- Experience as a veterinary assistant (urgent care or high-acuity experience a plus)
- Strong client service skills with a calm, professional presence
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Comfort assisting with in-clinic diagnostics and basic procedures
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to take initiative
