About the Role
The Hospital for Veterinary Surgery (HVS) is a surgery-exclusive veterinary hospital in New York City. We’re expanding our modern, learning-focused clinical team and are seeking a confident, highly skilled Veterinary Assistant to support our specialty services in a state-of-the-art facility in Manhattan.
In this role, you’ll rotate through a variety of support areas and receive training to build technical confidence in a fast-paced, well-resourced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinary staff across multiple support stations as needed
- Provide hands-on support during day-to-day clinical workflows
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment
- Support teamwork by following protocols and communicating clearly with the care team
Requirements
- Experience in general practice, emergency, surgery, or critical care (preferred)
- Comfort working in a fast-paced specialty hospital setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Willingness to learn and grow through training and mentorship
