About the Role
UrgentVet provides after-hours urgent care for dogs and cats, helping bridge the gap between daytime veterinary practice and emergency medicine. We’re looking for a Senior Veterinary Assistant to support patient care, lead within the team, and deliver excellent client service in a fast-paced, modern urgent care clinic in Wayne, PA.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with urgent care procedures and day-to-day patient handling
- Support wound care, ear infections, gastrointestinal cases (vomiting/diarrhea), and other common urgent needs
- Help maintain efficient workflows in a paperless clinic environment
- Provide compassionate communication and guidance to clients during stressful moments
- Act as a team resource by supporting training and coordinating tasks as needed
Requirements
- Experience as a veterinary assistant (prior urgent care or emergency experience is a plus)
- Strong client service skills and a calm, professional presence
- Ability to thrive in a high-tempo, high-variety clinical setting
- Comfort supporting medical workflows and handling patients safely
