About the Role

We’re seeking a Sheet Metal Engineer Specialist to help design and develop the pickup box with a focus on manufacturability, durability, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Own sheet metal design development for the pickup box, from concept through release for production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into buildable structures and components.
- Develop and refine part geometry, material selections, and joining approaches to meet performance and cost goals.
- Support DFM/DFA efforts by identifying risks early and proposing practical design improvements.
- Assist with prototype builds, engineering change requests, and issue resolution during development and validation.
- Partner with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure designs align with tooling and production capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience in sheet metal engineering for automotive or similar industrial applications.
- Strong knowledge of forming, stamping, and fabrication considerations (tolerances, flanging, bends, and joining methods).
- Proficiency with CAD and engineering workflows used for design release and collaboration.
- Ability to work effectively with manufacturing partners to improve quality, yield, and manufacturability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail throughout the design lifecycle.
