About the Role
MongoDB Atlas Search helps customers run advanced full-text and vector search queries using MongoDB Query Language—so teams can focus on relevance and results instead of the infrastructure required to search at scale. In this role, you’ll help build cloud-based distributed systems that power the lifecycle of search indexes, from ingestion and index building to partitioning, performance, availability, and backup management.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve distributed services that support search index replication and routing
- Contribute to core architectural enhancements as the product expands
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve index lifecycle reliability and performance
- Help ensure availability and resilience through thoughtful engineering and operational practices
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Experience building and working with distributed systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver high-quality, maintainable code
