About the Role
AtriCure is seeking a Sourcing Project Engineer to support strategic sourcing activities and help drive reliable supply for medical device programs. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate suppliers, manage sourcing projects, and support key engineering and procurement needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate sourcing projects for assigned programs, partnering with engineering, quality, operations, and procurement teams.
- Support supplier selection by gathering requirements, evaluating capabilities, and assisting with technical reviews.
- Own project timelines and deliverables, tracking progress and escalating risks as needed.
- Collaborate on RFQs, quotes, and cost/lead-time alignment to support manufacturing and program goals.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to address technical questions, documentation needs, and supplier readiness activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across sourcing processes and supplier performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting sourcing, supplier evaluation, or procurement projects with technical stakeholders.
- Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of engineering/technical documentation and basic quality expectations for suppliers.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting project status.
