About the Role
Nightwing supports U.S. Government customers with incident response and mitigation services for civilian agencies and critical asset owners. We’re seeking a Special Projects Technical Writer to help document and communicate technical findings clearly and accurately during cyber incident activities.
Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain technical documentation for incident response efforts, including findings, severity assessments, and mitigation plans
- Translate complex technical information into clear, reader-friendly reports for government and stakeholder audiences
- Coordinate with incident response and technical teams to gather requirements, validate details, and ensure documentation accuracy
- Support lifecycle mission enablement and software modernization documentation as directed
- Assist with restoration-of-services documentation, including timelines, actions taken, and recommendations
Requirements
- Proven technical writing experience with the ability to document complex cybersecurity or technical subject matter
- Strong written communication skills, including grammar, structure, and attention to detail
- Experience collaborating with technical SMEs to capture requirements and accurately reflect technical content
- Ability to work in an onsite environment supporting time-sensitive incident response needs
