About the Role
Join our caring community as a Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2. In this role, you’ll support pharmacists by preparing and dispensing Specialty Rx medications while handling a mix of operational, administrative, and customer-focused tasks. You’ll work on semi-routine assignments where decisions are guided by established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense Specialty Rx medications in support of pharmacists
- Enter prescription orders into the system and perform required computations
- Contact physicians to clarify prescriptions when needed
- Follow Specialty Rx operational processes and program requirements designed to optimize health outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients and providers to support adherence to program steps
Requirements
- Experience supporting pharmacy operations and prescription workflows
- Ability to perform accurate computations and maintain attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with patients and providers
- Comfort working within defined parameters and department policies
