About the Role
ezCater is the leading food tech platform for workplaces across the U.S., helping organizations manage meal programs and workplace ordering with reliable, business-grade service. As a Staff Software Engineer on our Finance Technology team, you’ll build and evolve core systems that power ezCater’s finance platform as we scale—enabling new capabilities for an agentic commerce future.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and improve modern backend services and platforms for finance technology
- Partner with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable features end to end
- Contribute to architecture decisions and help set technical direction for the team
- Improve reliability, performance, and maintainability across critical systems
- Build a high-quality, first-class tech stack by integrating existing solutions with new tooling
Requirements
- Strong experience as a software engineer building production systems at scale
- Deep understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and data-driven engineering
- Proficiency with modern software development practices (testing, observability, and CI/CD)
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor other engineers
- Experience working on finance-adjacent domains or enterprise platforms is a plus
