About the Role
As a Staffing Coordinator, you’ll help ensure patients’ homes are covered by qualified nurses and caregivers based on approved hours and each patient’s plan of care. You’ll monitor staffing needs, support scheduling, and coordinate with HR and case management to keep care teams fully staffed.
Responsibilities
- Identify staffing needs and vacancies, including coverage gaps from call-outs
- Review and understand the plan of care for new patients to align staffing requirements
- Communicate changes in patient acuity or plan of care to the appropriate teams
- Build staffing plans and partner with internal departments to fill open shifts
- Use available staffing resources (e.g., 1099 pool, PRN coverage, differentials) to meet demand
- Coordinate with HR to support onboarding for new contractors
- Maintain accurate scheduling to ensure coverage aligns with approved hours
Requirements
- Strong coordination and scheduling skills
- Ability to understand and follow plan-of-care documentation
- Comfort partnering across HR, case management, and clinical teams
- Reliability for occasional local commuting for home visits when needed
