About the Role
Northmarq is looking for an experienced Agency Underwriter with affordable/conventional loan experience to join our Agency team in Washington, DC. In this role, you’ll help guide loan opportunities from application through closing, partnering with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong underwriting decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze loan applications and supporting documentation to support underwriting recommendations
- Manage key steps of the loan process, from application review through closing
- Review and validate data quality, including financial and deal-related information
- Coordinate with stakeholders to address questions, conditions, and documentation needs
- Maintain organized records and support timely, accurate decision-making
Requirements
- Prior underwriting experience with affordable and/or conventional agency lending
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Comfort working with documentation and collaborating across teams
