Assistant Project Manager (Data Center Construction) | Full-Time | Onsite in Dallas, TX

About the Role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our growing Dallas Data Center team. This full-time, site-based role helps deliver mission-critical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with experienced Project Managers, contractors, and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data center construction delivery across preconstruction, construction, and closeout phases
  • Maintain full-time on-site presence to support daily project activities
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders to keep work moving
  • Support RFI and submittal workflows, change order tracking, and project documentation
  • Attend coordination meetings and drive agreed actions to completion
  • Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress, quality, and safety
  • Help manage schedule, cost, risks, and issues
  • Prepare project reports, dashboards, and meeting minutes
  • Support procurement activities, commissioning support, punch list management, and turnover
  • Represent Turner & Townsend professionally and build strong client relationships
  • Support SOX control responsibilities where applicable

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Mission-critical or data center experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or MS Project is a plus
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in the Dallas area
