About the Role
Ascend Healthcare is seeking an Associate Mental Health Therapist (ACSW, AMFT) to support clients through compassionate, integrated behavioral health services. In this remote role, you’ll help deliver counseling and care coordination as part of a “no wrong door” approach—finding ways to say “yes” to patient referrals and improving outcomes for diverse communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient mental health counseling and therapy services via telehealth
- Support integrated care by coordinating with psychiatric medication management, substance use disorder treatment, and peer support partners
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow care plans
- Participate in collaborative case discussions to support continuity of care
- Contribute to a patient-first experience focused on access, convenience, and affordability
Requirements
- Current ACSW or AMFT licensure/eligibility in California
- Experience providing counseling/therapy services in a behavioral health setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary care
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, telehealth environment
- Commitment to inclusive, compassionate care and professional documentation standards
