About the Role

Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged, American-made vehicles—rooted in heritage and powered by innovation. We’re seeking a Body Metals Systems Engineer to support the Body Systems Engineering Team within our Body Metals group, helping design and improve vehicle body systems for electrified and range-extended powertrains.

Responsibilities

  • Own engineering system workstreams for body metals and related vehicle body structures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, interfaces, and system behaviors
  • Support design, validation planning, and issue resolution across the development lifecycle
  • Contribute to documentation and technical reviews to ensure engineering rigor and alignment
  • Partner with manufacturing and quality stakeholders to support build feasibility and performance targets

Requirements

  • Experience with vehicle body systems, structures, and/or body-in-white engineering
  • Strong systems engineering fundamentals (requirements, interfaces, verification/validation)
  • Comfort working with engineering data, technical documentation, and structured problem solving
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate clearly with technical stakeholders
