About the Role
Equans is seeking a Caretaker to join our team at the Newcastle Fire Station in Elswick (NE4 6HL). This is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week, supporting the Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Authority across PFI estate services.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate delivery of facilities services in line with site schedules and required standards
- Complete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks according to agreed plans and industry best practice
- Log jobs raised while on site and monitor assigned tasks through to completion
- Take appropriate action to address site issues promptly
- Provide a customer-facing presence with excellent service and a positive, professional attitude
Requirements
- Experience delivering operational facilities management (FM) services
- Supervision experience is desirable
- Experience in a front-facing, customer-centric role
- Full clean driving licence
- Ability to pass BPSS-level vetting and obtain the required DBS clearance (enhanced)
