About the Role
Equans is looking for a Caretaker to support Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Authority at the Newcastle Fire Station in Elswick (NE4 6HL). This is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern across Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled PPM (planned preventative maintenance) tasks in line with relevant plans and industry standards
- Complete site tasks promptly and to the required quality and safety expectations
- Log jobs that arise while on site and ensure timely escalation or action where required
- Monitor assigned work and take appropriate steps to keep service delivery on track
- Provide a customer-facing service with a positive attitude and strong customer service skills
Requirements
- Experience delivering operational facilities management (FM) services
- Supervisory experience is desirable
- Previous experience in a front-facing, customer-centric role
- Full, clean driving licence (essential)
- Ability to pass BPSS level vetting, including DBS clearance (enhanced DBS required)
