About the Role
Milam’s Markets is a locally owned neighborhood grocery store serving South Florida since 1984. We’re hiring friendly, dependable Cashiers who enjoy helping customers and creating a smooth, positive checkout experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service at the register
- Scan and weigh products accurately to ensure correct pricing
- Process cash and other payment types responsibly
- Verify IDs when required by store policy
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and ready for customers
- Support front-end needs, including bagging and light customer assistance
Requirements
- Strong customer service attitude and reliability
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and follow store procedures
- Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Basic attention to detail for scanning, weighing, and ID checks
