About the Role
Medina Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Castroville is hiring a Certified Medication Aide to support residents with safe medication administration and daily care. This position is full-time Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with PRN coverage also available.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications to residents/patients according to established protocols
- Measure and record vital signs when required
- Monitor residents for reactions, side effects, or changes in condition
- Accurately document medication administration and related observations
- Maintain medication carts, supplies, and ensure medications are stored properly
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
- Report any concerns or changes in condition to nursing staff or supervisors
- Follow safety procedures, infection control standards, and HIPAA requirements
Requirements
- Certified Medication Aide (CMA) credential
- Ability to administer medications safely and accurately
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of infection control and HIPAA compliance
- Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care
