About the Role
DCAS is dedicated to helping New York City government work for everyone. In this Chief of Staff role within Facilities Management and Construction, you will support leadership in ensuring the day-to-day delivery of critical services across the City’s public buildings and construction priorities.
Responsibilities
- Advise and support senior leadership on strategy, priorities, and execution across facilities and construction initiatives
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to keep operations running smoothly across municipal building management
- Help drive recruiting, hiring, and training efforts for teams supporting City facilities and related programs
- Support property and portfolio activities, including acquisition, sales, and leasing coordination
- Assist with planning and oversight of purchasing and vendor coordination for goods and services supporting City agencies
- Contribute to sustainability and emissions-reduction efforts connected to government operations
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting executive leadership in a complex, mission-driven environment
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated understanding of facilities, construction, or related operational functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accountability
