About the Role
We’re hiring a Child Care Teacher Assistant to support the classroom teacher in delivering an engaging, development-focused early childhood program. This role reports to the Center Manager and works Monday through Friday during variable shifts between 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Weekends and holidays are off.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom, bus, and playground routines by monitoring safety and helping manage behavior
- Assist with setting up indoor and outdoor learning environments for daily activities
- Help prepare weekly planning materials based on children’s individual developmental needs
- Observe and document children’s behaviors to help identify strengths and areas for growth
- Participate in parent meetings, home visits, and parent/teacher conferences
- Provide day-to-day support to children to promote learning and positive engagement
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a childcare, education, or youth support setting (preferred)
- Ability to follow classroom procedures and maintain a safe, supportive environment
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
- Reliability and flexibility with variable weekday shifts
